PJ Builders completely renovated this over one-hundred-year-old miners’ home in Old Town, Park City. The transformation of this project included lifting the home off of the original foundation and completely gutting it to add structural updates. The home includes a newly added kitchen, remodeled bathrooms and a second story addition. This Old Town house was rebuilt using reclaimed old face oak boards while implementing new additions, updated technology, and top of the line kitchen appliances. The owners are from the south and wanted to incorporate southern architectural elements into the design.

Materials used:

  • Kitchen – Pental Quartz  countertops, 2CM in Coastal Grey. The 1 5/8″ mitered edge detail flows all the way around the apron front farm sink. It is a unique look as not many fabricators have the skill set or are willing to take the extra time and care to craft these countertops.
  • Bathroom – Pental Quartz countertops, 2CM in Thassos.  Featuring A 1 5/8″ mitered edge, the same detail used in the kitchen. One unique feature of the master bathroom vanity is it was scribed (hand carved) to tightly follow the contours of the exposed brick wall.
  • Hardwood Flooring – 5 inch, original face oak boards: Amish Oak Barn Wood with a natural finish. They are over 100 years old and reclaimed out of a granary
  • Brick Work – Vintage salvaged brick from Chicago
